60th Birthday

A friend asked if I'd make a card for her husband who's turning 60.  I showed her some other "milestone" cards I'd made last year (in February and May), and adapted this card from the basic design I'd used previously.

The color is a little washed out here.  The true colors are lavender, dark purple and lime green.  I also had to change the orientation of the card this time, making it open vertically as opposed to horizontally,  as I wanted to put a pop-up platform on the inside.

My friend wanted to have a golf ball somewhere in the card, so I got out my trusty critter who loves to carry things and put a golf ball with a birthday candle in his paws.  He is mounted onto a wobbly disc that is mounted onto a pop-up platform.
