March Birthdays & Pop-Up Elements

Last month, Papertrey Ink came out with some fun, new dies, so I decided to try out some for my March birthday cards. I've always enjoyed looking at pop-up cards and books but never took the time to try to create my own. Well, Papertrey has now made it a very do-able process with a line of die-cuts that they have named "Movers & Shakers."

On my first card I used die-cuts for my friend's name as well as a couple of decorative stars. On the inside is a super cute "happy" pop-up element. I added some stars to tie the inside to the outside of the card. I'm looking forward to using this pop-up die-cut a lot!

The next card, that I'm using for two girlfriends, has a fancy grid overlay that is a die-cut called "Cover Plate: Quatrefoil;" the sentiment die-cut is "Celebrations Frame;" and the sentiment itself is from the "Movers & Shakers Sentiments" stamp set. All products are from Papertrey Ink.
And, check out the inside of this card: a spiral pop-up! I used butterflies for my first attempt, but I'm eager to try other images with this fun die-cut.

Thanks, Papertrey, for making projects that seemed like too much trouble into something pretty darn easy!!
