Toilet Paper 2020

I've never made more than one Christmas card before, but this year I found a stamp set that is an homage to the 2020 toilet paper crisis.  I decided I had to have it and needed to make some cards before 2020 was over.

"Don't panic!" and "I'd share my toilet paper with you" are from the "We're Like Toilet Paper" stamp set by Simon Says Stamp!   The toilet paper and roll are from "Toilet Paper Slider" also by Simon Says Stamp!  The "Pull here" and the arrow are both from "Push Here" by Lawn Fawn.  The embossed background die (which is supposed to seem like quilted toilet paper) is "Circles & Diamonds Stitched Pattern" by L'il Inker Designs.

The sentiment and the toilet paper roll on the inside are from "Survived 2020" by Stampendous.  The sentiment was stamped onto "Bam Bubble" by Paper Smooches.  The stitching around the edge is "Just Stitching Double Rectangles" die from Lawn Fawn.

I also used a stamp from that set on the back of my cards - it said: "I washed my hands before, during and after making you this card."  I even used another stamp from the set on the back of my envelopes - "Virtual germ-free HUG enclosed."  I feel like I used the set well, and I hope it'll make everyone smile.

Birthday Bunny

Well, it's been a long strange year.  I think I've only made two cards - a birthday card in January, and then a sympathy card in May.

A special friend's birthday was coming, and I finally felt inspired enough to make this simple card.  I copied the basic design from a card I made three years ago.  The starry background and stitched circle opening are from "Starry Circle" by My Favorite Things.  The stars are cut from a piece of watercolor patterned paper by Lawn Fawn.  The stitched rectangle is from "Bundle of Stitched Shapes" by Simon Says Stamp.  The bunny is from a new set and new company (for me), "Birthday Wishing" by Colorado Craft Company - the illustrator is Anita Jeram, a well-known children's book illustrator.  The sentiment is from the "Hooray" stamp set by Neat & Tangled.

It felt good to be back in the craftroom, and I'm actually planning (and have started) to make some Christmas cards - something I've never done before!  Stay tuned.
