Autumn Shaker Card

A friend had a birthday at the end of last month and, knowing she loves all things autumn, I made her a shaker card with an autumn flavor.

The critter is "Acorn Fall Fun" from Your Next Stamp.  The white frame is from My Favorite Things' "Pierced Rectangle Frames."

You Make My Tail Wag Shaker Card

My former boss and his wife have birthdays in about a week.  They have a lovely little dog, so I decided to CASE this card that I saw on Pinterest by Joanna Harty.  This is also my first attempt at a  shaker card.  It was fun once I figured out the details.  I ended up using a piece of fun foam the same size as the blue patterned piece of paper.

The cute doggie is from My Favorite Things' "You Make My Tail Wag," along with its accompanying die, as well as the bone die in the shaker portion.  The sentiment is from "Big Birthday Balloon Set" by Your Next Stamp.  The two stitched rectangle layers are from My Favorite Things' "Stitched Rectangle STAX."

On the inside, the back of the dog and the sentiment are both from the same MFT "You Make My Tail Wag" stamp and die set.  I also used my Chameleon pen set for the first time to color the dog's spots.  I think I'm going to enjoy using these new pens.

Hot Air Balloon with Dogs

A friend has a birthday in a few days, and I like to include dogs in her card, if I possibly can, in honor of her two sweeties.  I decided to squeeze two white doggies into the basket of this hot air balloon.

The balloon, dog and sentiment are all from "Going Places" by W Plus 9.  The sentiment is on "Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX" by My Favorite Things, and the background is "Cloud Cover-Up" also by My Favorite Things.

On the inside, the sentiment is from "Big Birthday Balloon Set" by Your Next Stamp.  The white frame is cut with "Cross-Stitch Rectangle STAX" by My Favorite Things.

Balloon Bash Variation

I just changed the paper colors for this version of the card I made a few weeks ago (July 1):

I was also feeling a bit lazy and didn't want to ink-up a background for the next card, so I just used patterned paper:

On the inside, the "dotted" frame is "Embossed Dots Rectangles" from L'il Inker Designs.

Tropical Card in a Box 2

After a friend saw my previous Tropical Card in a Box, she asked if I could make one substituting a dolphin for the seahorse.

Everything about this box is the same as the previous one with the exception of the dolphin which is from "Dolphin Set" by Dies R Us.

Big Mouth Cat

I wanted to use a new stamp set for my vet's birthday along with another cat friend's birthday.

This is Art Impressions' "Cat Big Mouth" - they have a series of "Big Mouth" characters.  I used the following Copic markers:  B32, V17, V25, Y02, C1, E00 and E37.  I used the smallest "Cross Stitch Oval" from My Favorite Things to die cut the sentiment (which is part of the stamp set).

On the inside I just used the "Happy Birthday Words" die from Paper Smooches.

Graduation Card in a Box

My neighbor asked me to make a graduation card for her granddaughter.  She gave me her granddaughter's high school photo as well as a childhood photo, and she also gave me the graduation announcement, from which I was able to use the high school crest.  I wasn't sure how to incorporate everything into a card until I thought about a Card in a Box.

I used the basic card in a box format.  The "Class of" and the graduation cap are from Taylored Expressions.  The diploma is from "Graduation Accents," the numbers are from "Bright Lights Numbers & Symbols"and the stars are "Stacking Stars," all from My Favorite Things.

A neighbor ordered an exact copy of my first daisy card in a box, then asked for another with different colors.

An Easter Card

I received a new "toy" in the mail today and had to try it out.  It's called MISTI, meaning Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented.  It's used to align stamps and get perfect inking.  I'd say I had very good results for my first use.

The stamps and coordinating dies are all from Reverse Confetti - "Carton Cuties" and "Beautiful Banners."  There is also "Love Note" from Reverse Confetti and "Stitched Party Banners" by Lawn Fawn.

Card #15 - Another Step-Up

Here is my fifteenth card, done in the style of the birthday card I made earlier today.

March Birthday - Step-Up Card

I needed a birthday card for a friend who has a birthday at the end of the week.  I'm thinking I might copy this style for one of the cards for my sixteen-card project.

This basic card is "Framelits Step-Ups" by Stephanie Barnard for Sizzix.  The banners across the front are "Stitched Party Dies" by My Creative Time.  I don't recall which company made the sentiment dies.
