Merci

A friend took me to a French restaurant to celebrate my birthday, so I had to make a special "merci" card for her.

For some reason, I was in the mood to use Kraft cardstock tone on tone. The French cat is a very old stamp from Polperro Stamps (I don't even know if the company is still around).  It's mounted on two different sizes of Spellbinders' Fleur de Lis Motifs.

On the inside, I used Sizzix basic Pop n' Cut die.  I added a stamped image from Stampin' Up's "Voila" set.  The flourish at the top is also from Spellbinders' Fleur de Lis Motifs set.

Hybrid Birthday Card

I found a card that seemed perfect for a certain friend of mine, but I wanted to doll it up a bit.

The card itself (which was blank on the inside) was a small size, so I cut the front from the back, then added a fancy border on both sides in black.

On the interior, I used Sizzix Pop 'n Cut "Circle Label 3-D," as well as Sizzix "Celebrate."  The cupcake set is from My Creative Time "Celebrate Good Times."

October Birthday

I have two friends with birthdays in October - one early and one later.  Here's the card I made for the early one:

I used patterned paper from a Martha Stewart collection.  I cut it with Papertrey's newest "Coverplate: Harlequin," then placed the cutout on top of the same patterned paper for some textural interest.  The labels are "Layered Labels" from My Favorite Things, and the sentiment is from Hero Arts "Many Birthday Messages."

On the inside I used the new Sizzix Pop 'n Cut "Scallop Circle 3-D Pop Up."  The other die cuts are from My Favorite Things, "Botanical Beauty" and "Medium Leafy Flourish."
