My previous card was fun to make, and I love the pop-up element; however, it makes for a rather thick card - something that might be difficult to send through the mail. So, since I plan to mail three more of these cards, I decided to make a variation on the original that isn't quite as bulky.
I turned the orientation of the card, though everything else about the front of the card is the same as the original.
No pop-up feature on the inside, but I think it still works and it will be much easier to mail.

June Birthdays
I have a few girlfriends with birthdays in June, and they're all cat lovers, so it gives me a chance to use some of my (many) cat stamps. On the outside, I've used my ubiquitous Quatrefoil die by Papertrey with the "Celebrations" die (also Papertrey), and the sentiment die is My Favorite Things "Layered Labels" die. The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas "Bubble Therapy" stamp set.
On the inside I've used Papertrey's pop-up die, then used more stamps from The Cat's Pajamas "Bubble Therapy" stamp set.
Last May Birthday
I ended up having to make this card about five days sooner than I had planned, but I'm still pleased with the outcome even though I felt a bit rushed.
This card was made using another of Papertrey's "Movers and Shakers" dies (and coordinating stamp set) - this time it was the "Zipper." It was a little tricky to align and assemble everything; luckily, Papertrey has demo videos available. I had to wait for the recipient to "unzip" the card before I could take the photo below:
The zipper is a very fun feature and, once again, made me look like a card making super star! :)

Grand Nephew's Birthday
Another card for a May birthday person - this time it's for my niece's eldest son.
I used a design layout that I used in February of this year. Instead of having a striped background, I used two great patterned papers that I just found. It's a Lego design from Creative Imaginations - fun, eh? I thought it was especially appropriate since my grand nephew grew up going to Legoland. I hope he notices the pattern.

May Birthdays
I seem to know more people born in May and June than almost any other month, so here's one of the May birthday cards I made:
The sentiment is a Martha Stewart punch; the stars are Taylored Expressions "Reach for the Stars" die; and the banners are My Favorite Things "Fishtail Stax."

On the inside, I used Papertrey's pop-up die. The bunny is "Shooting Star Warren" from The Rubber Cafe - he's colored with Copic markers.

Bon Voyage!
A classmate is going to Europe in a couple of weeks with a stopover in Paris, so I made her this card:
The die is "You Move Me" from My Favorite Things. It only comes in one size, so I die-cut it then cut the white and red cuts in half to elongate the entire look. I created the "Bon Voyage" on the computer and die-cut it with My Favorite Things "Fish Tail Stax."
I used the Papertrey spiral on the inside. The Paris at the top and the Eiffel Tower at the bottom are both 3-D stickers. The airplane, scooter and car dies are also from My Favorite Things "You Move Me" set.
