Card for my Nephew

My nephew has made it through a very tough year, and I wanted to make a card to mark the occasion. The sentiment stamp and die are part of a new set called "Vertical Greetings" that I just got from My Favorite Things. The die cut stars are also from My Favorite Things, and the embossing folder is one by Tim Holtz.

Last February Birthday

I had one last February birthday card to make for my neighbor across the street. I thought I'd copy my last card but use different colors on the flowers, plus I added "happy" from a Papertrey die.

100th Birthday

Here's the second card that I made for my friend. She told me that her uncle is turning 100 and he loves flowers, so this is what I came up with:

The numbers are from My Favorite Things "By the Number"* - a smaller size set than the number dies from Papertrey. The leaf die is "Bella Rose"* by Heartfelt Creations. The flowers are "Bloom Builders #3"* by Papertrey, and the label is "Layered Labels 3" by My Favorite Things. The background was Cuttlebug's "Swiss Dots." (* used for the first time)

My friend was specific in terms of the greeting she wanted, so I used my computer for its creation.

Anniversary Card to Order

A friend called the other day asking if I had any cards available that she could buy. I explained that I usually only make cards as I need them. Luckily, she didn't need the cards immediately, so I made the first one - an anniversary card - and have another week and a half to make a birthday card for her. I copied the basic layout for this card from one I made last fall (see August 4, 2011), but used different patterned paper and used a new Spellbinders Edgeabilities - Classic Petal. I also used a new ribbon, something I picked up for half-price after Xmas - I really like the look of it here. I didn't have an appropriate anniversary stamp, so I just printed something from the computer.
